Excel Skills for Business Virtual Experience Program- Goldman Sachs
During my virtual internship program, I had the opportunity to gain practical skills in Microsoft Excel related to banking and finance. I learned key shortcuts and functionalities such as cell basics, formatting, comments, and naming, which helped me to navigate through Excel with ease. Additionally, I was exposed to common ways to forecast operating assumptions and how to build a simplified profit and loss statement, which helped me to translate assumptions into financial forecasting. I also gained knowledge on how to forecast cash flows using cash flow modeling, and how to produce presentable outputs in Excel through charting. These skills have equipped me with the necessary tools to confidently work with financial data in Excel, and I am excited to apply them to future projects.
Investment Banking Virtual Experience Program-
TD Securities
As part of my experience in finance, I had the opportunity to work on a project that involved performing a comparable company analysis to understand a client's valuation performance against a given peer set. Through this project, I gained practical skills in financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and spreading comps. I was able to review the client's financial statements and evaluate their performance against similar companies in the industry. Additionally, I had the opportunity to develop an M&A idea and evaluate the pro forma financial impact and investment merits. This involved creating a comprehensive presentation, investment thesis, and conducting pro forma analysis. These experiences have equipped me with the skills necessary to evaluate financial performance and make informed investment decisions, and I am excited to apply these skills to future projects in the field of finance.

I completed a virtual experience program for Power BI, where I gained practical skills in data analysis and visualization. The program included modules on Call Centre Trends, Customer Retention, and Diversity & Inclusion. In the Call Centre Trends module, I learned to define KPIs and create Power BI dashboards to visualize customer and agent behavior. I also had the opportunity to compare my work with real model solutions. In the Customer Retention module, I gained expertise in using Power BI to analyze customer demographics and derive actionable insights. Comparing my work with real model solutions further enhanced my skills. The Diversity & Inclusion module focused on gender balance in the executive suite, and I learned to calculate measures, define KPIs, create Power BI dashboards, and identify insights and actions. Through this program, I developed a strong foundation in Power BI and its application in various business scenarios.
